[Simh] Compiling AltairZ80 gives an executable with an issue...

Or more specifically, a zip file of the current source is available at https://github.com/simh/simh/archive/master.zip

As for building with MinGW you should merely:

                C:\simh> build_mingw.bat altairz80

As for building on Windows with a Borland compiler, well no one has tried that for a VERY long time and we’re already supporting building with a number of free compiler alternatives: All Visual Studio versions (Standard and Express) from 2008 onward, and MinGW. If it works with Borland, then good, but if it doesn’t, I’ll steer you to an alternative or the precompiled binaries.

These do work properly.

I wonder if there is a symbol I need to define or something configurable that I have wrong that is causing my compiles to not work. It seems odd that both my Borland compiler AND the mingw produce the same problem that isn’t present in the official compiles.

Is there a 4.0 source release somewhere as well?

Thanks,

Alan
