there's a basic conceptual problem: the combined usage of java and C (a 
sure recipe for eating resources if one isn't careful in coding things

only my personal opinion; I reckon that in my ideal world, even 
browsers, office suites and flight simulators ought to be coded in 100% 
hand-optimized assembly....
