It is.  It seems to be working well, too.  I think we can almost build
the kernel under 1ed unix itself.  At first we were using apout and a v7
assembler but I think we're over that hump.

It was fun to gen and run 1ed unix.  not something you do every day :-)
Fun to debug too.
