[Simh] RAUSER problem or cockpit error?

I am building the SIMH 3.5-1  on Mac OS/X 10.4.3. I am trying to  
incorporate the abillity for larger (> 2Gb ) disks.
My makefile results are fine from what I can tell, and -DUSE_ADDR64  
is included

Vax.ini has

Starting SIMH gives

[Robert-Youngs-Computer:local/vax/data] robertyo# vi vax.ini
[Robert-Youngs-Computer:local/vax/data] robertyo# /usr/local/vax/bin/vax

VAX simulator V3.5-1
NVR: buffering file in memory
Invalid argument
RQ: unit is read only
Eth: opened en0

 >>>sh dev
UQSSP Disk Controller 0 (772150)
-DUA0 (RA92)
-DUA1 (RD54)
-DUA2 (RA92)
-DUA3 (RRD40)

The invalid argument goes away if it set it back to ra92. Since I am  
new to the SIMH, I assume the odds are 80/20 its cockpit error  
somehow on my part.

Suggestions?
