I don't have an MD5 checksum utility readily available for my WinXP
environment, but I picked up the ISO image this AM from:

  ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/iso/1.6.1/vaxcd.iso

The simh version I used was a variant of the about to be released
V3.2, but I see no reason why there should be a simh version
dependency here.

The configuration file contains:

; Use a telnet client that has a reasonable
; VT terminal emulation for the console
set telnet 1923
; Use plenty of RAM
set cpu 64m
; Halts/Reboots come back back to the Console ROM instead of scp
set cpu conh

; Use a RA82 disk for DUA0
set rq0 ra82
atta rq0 netbsd.dsk
; Attach the NetBSD 1.6.1 vax Boot CD Image to DUA1
set rq1 cdrom
atta rq1 vaxcd.iso
; Attach an appropriate network device
atta xq eth2

;
; Just to keep things clean, turn off unused devices.
;
set rq2 offline
set rq3 offline
set rl disa
set dz disa
set ts disa
set lpt disa
set tq disa
boot CPU

In the console I booted DUA1.

I took defaults for disk setup details and selected to do a full
install. I entered appropriate network parameters for my network and
the installation eventually completed. I set a root password and
kept the network setup, selected a time zone and shutdown the system.

After rebooting, all seemed normal.
