[Simh] New NIC not recognized

I have simh running on CentOS inside VirtualBox.

sim> show xq eth

I add a network adapter in VirtualBox,
then create /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/eth1

$ sudo ifup eth1

$ ifconfig

Why simh don't see my new interface?
