SIMH is run as a service on a server host in a network datacenter. An interactive session to the host isn't an option.   :-(

But a good suggestion. I think we still need a network connection to the sim> console.

Start simh in a screen session, so the sim> prompt is inside screen.  SSH into the machine and reconnect to screen and there you are.  Can even put "exec /usr/bin/screen -xRR" in your .bash_profile to do it automatically.
