Apropos of Zork.  Sort of…

Here's a gfortran Mac OS X of Colossal Cave Adventure I did a while  
back:

I've tried the port on Mac OS X Leopard (10.5), but haven't tried it  
on Snow Leopard (10.6).

This port was based on the VAX Fortran implementation from an old  
Freeware distribution, and uses generic gfortran syntax (and nothing  
specific to Mac OS X), and should be portable to Linux and other boxes  
with gfortran.

OpenVMS VAX source code (keeping this reply somewhat on-topic for
