For VMS, you could use your TCP/IP packages NTP client. That's what I use on my VMS system running with MultiNet. I remember back in the days before NTP, I had an old MicroVAX I that didn't have a TOY clock (to preserve the time between boots), so I wrote a simple little program that did a FINGER @remotehost command and parsed the time out of it at boot-up. --Marc
