I've seen indications of people running as far back as V1.5 on simh,
but have no clue as to where they're getting the VAX/VMS distro's
from. The oldest I have is 5.5 (Hobbyist V1 CD). The only V4.x
system I've ever owned cratered before I
could get a backup done of the system disk (I hate RD53's).
I take it you're down South enjoying the "Sun & Surf" again? Did you
just get back down there? I had thought you were back Stateside.
BTW, I think you really need to get onto HECnet from down there! :^)
