I'm sorry I saw 8, and for some reason thought this was PDP8....

Anyways from my CLI:

VAX simulator V3.7-3
sim> set cpu idle
sim> set cpu idle=VMS
sim> sho cpu
CPU, idle enabled=VMS, 16MB, HALT to SIMH
sim> set cpu idle=NETBSD
sim> sho cpu
CPU, idle enabled=NETBSD, 16MB, HALT to SIMH
sim> set cpu idle=ULTRIX
sim> sho cpu
CPU, idle enabled=ULTRIX, 16MB, HALT to SIMH
sim> set cpu idle=OPENBSD
sim> sho cpu
CPU, idle enabled=OPENBSD, 16MB, HALT to SIMH
sim> set cpu idle=32V
sim> sho cpu
CPU, idle enabled=32V, 16MB, HALT to SIMH
sim> quit
Goodbye

I tried it various ways, and it seems that the idle first wants to be
enabled, then you set the 'flavor'.
