No? On our Linux Red Hat ES 4 Systems, they can:
# ifconfig -a
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:15:60:0B:8E:9A
inet addr:10.152.105.86 Bcast:10.152.107.255 Mask:255.255.252.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
#
And in the vax.ini file, the NI is configured as:
; attach Ethernet to Network interface
set XQ mac=08-00-2B-AC-AC-B1
set XQ type=DELQA
att XQ eth0
;
So I'd guess this is the same network card, isn't it?
Greetings, Ferry
