Alain,

do the images os8_rx.rx01 and os8f4_rx.rx01 from pdp8online.com run for you 
?
If yes go ahead with these, I just compared them to the images in 
os8swre.tar.Z and they are identical.

Also in this case we could conclude, that whatever way you used to 
decompress the images is likely the source of the trouble.
