[Simh] Slow startups and slow shutdowns

Greetings all

Since I increased the size of my data disk to 4gb, I have noticed that now (some
times at least) I have a very long shutdown as well. The delay is after the
"Use console to shutdown...." message, and similar to the startup in that the
Windows process is logging a lot of write bytes (~ 1 per byte of virtual disk
size) and a lot of page faults...

While it may be a useless exercise,

Would anyone experiencing this problem send me an email (directly might be
preferable) enumerating the following (and anything else that you think might be
useful)

O/S, SP, currently patched ??, SIMH version, compiler (and version) used (and
options), size of the virtual harddrives that you have, whether or not it
happens all of the time, some of the time, on startup, on shutdown, and anything
else that might be interesting.

It would also be useful to have the same information for users who are not
experiencing any problems...

Villy
