[Simh] trying to get the OpenVMS 7.1 CD to boot

Hi,
 
Firstly, allow me to introduce myself: I am Peter Moreton, living in Northamptonshire, England, and spent many happy years supporting a wide range of VAX hardware through the 1980's/90's. Beginning with a VAX 11/750, I worked on the 8200, 8250, 11/780, 11/785, 8530, 6200, and then the smaller machines finishing up with the MicroVAX 4700A. I have a few MicroVAX 4000 series machines and an Alpha, in the basement, obtained free of charge when being thrown out by the companies I worked for.
 
I'd like to see how viable it would be to move my OpenVMS 6 / 7 environments from the physical machines I have, onto the SIMH emulator. (I know that CHARON would do the job, but prefer to use the freeware SIMH.)
 
I made an ISO of a VMS 7.1 CD (not sure if I did this correctly, the only tool I could get to read the CD was WinImage - it produced an error message as it read the CD, but also a 400Mbyte ISO, so maybe it worked?)
 
When I try to boot the ISO, I get a DEVASSIGN error as below:
