[Simh] Excessive windows paging & IO with VAX emulator

Shut down the VAX after only a couple of hours.  The mount to completion of the
system disk (at least) was the usual - massive paging/write ios from the windows
system.  I don't know about the data disk.  The shutdown (because of the length
of time it was up ???) went as it should - nothing excessive at all.

I tried starting up the VAX VM after a couple of minutes and it went normally as
well (i.e. no excessive real machine IO).

The subsequent shutdown after about 5 minutes of up time was also uneventful....

First time in weeks (at least)..

I wonder if wall time is an issue (the length of time that windows has the files
open)....

Anyone have anything to offer ???
