It's okay if you don't mention Mark (last name?) or me in the credits for
the V3.7-2 fix to non-Ethernet device removal loop, but I believe this is
the same problem I found and (with Mark's assistance) fixed and reported to
Dave H. more than a year ago. :-)

Somehow that submission never made it into the code. Maybe there was some
subtle wrongness with our fix? :-)
