Thanks, that works great in a simple command line test:
$ Define/System/Exec dia0 dua0:
$ dir dia0:[000000]
Directory DUA0:[000000]
 . . .
If I have time tonight I'll put it at the very beginning of the startup 
file and see how many errors disappear.
