Charon-VAX is very interesting because it is an actively supported platform for
OpenVMS, so that if you want to continue to run the OS without trying to main-
tain VAX hardware, it is certainly the way to go.

Unlike SimH, of course, it's dedicated to a single architecture and tries to be
the very best emulation of that architecture, as a commercial venture, rather
than being a platform for experimentation with a number of architectures.  In
this it is similar to the PDP-10 emulator KLH10, which for a while was offered
as a commercial product by Digital (as an Alpha migration tool, forsooth).
