[Simh] how to move vms backup tapes to the emulator

i am also needing to do the same thing.

Hopefully someone can tell us a good solution...

(so far i keep hitting road blocks, even though i get closer with every step.  I was trying the route of modifying vmsbackup.c V3.  After using the free charon nt tool, vaxft.exe, to get the SaveSet file into simh .dsk (interface similar to ftp), i find i need to run a Vax program FIXREC.EXE to change "record size".
But i still get error msgs when running BACKUP to restore.....)
