Many of us that lurk here are interested in preserving some of the software history from our pasts - so I thought I'd share some of the games and software that came on my original OpenVMS Hobbyist Media Kit V1.0 for VAX.<br>
<br>
This is the original Hobbyist distribution put together by Pat Jankowiak and others at the Dallas Fort Worth Local User Group shortly after the OpenVMS Hobbyist program was announced. The CD-ROM is long out of print and is a snapshot of various DECUS games
and utilities from around 1997. It includes TREK, NETHACK, ADVENTURE etc.<br>

I've extracted only the [SOFTWARE....] and [HISTORICAL...] directory trees to a new ODS2 volume (and omitted the OpenVMS V6.1 and V5.5-2 VAX software distribution kits) - so it should be OK to share it this way!<br clear="all">
