KO has an interesting history with ferrite devices.  The one you mentioned is one.  He did work on ferrite core logic devices, which is interesting stuff.  And it appears he's the inventor of the core rope ROM memory used in the Apollo spacecraft.  (At least the name "Olsen" appears in the documentation, so that would be him unless there was another Olsen at Lincoln Labs.)
