I already tried each of those on Ultrix before writing my first email to the list. It made no difference. I noted that in the output of show xq the mode always defaults to DEQNA, not sure if that's relevant. Do you still want me to try test each of those configurations on the netbsd sim and/or see the output from the XQ commands for each variation of the ethernet controller under Ultrix?
