[Simh] Systems Engineering Labs (SEL) simh simulator available

I'm getting /usr/include/features.h:374:25: fatal error: sys/cdefs.h:
No such file or directory

on two different Linuxes (debian  / Ubuntu).

google says it's because trying to compile a 32 bit app on a 64 bit os  ??
