Do tell! This is what I think I know about ITS' ups and downs:

1967 to 1975 were exiting times. Machines were added every few years.
The sixes were upgraded to 10s. A shiny new KL was made to run ITS.
But then, the KAs started falling apart.

For a period around 1985, all KAs were shut down, and only the KL was
running. That must have been a low point in the history of ITS. But
then they got the replacement KS machines, and things looked perkier
again. There even was one more machine than before.

But in 1988, the KL was shut down and was shipped to Sweden. In 1990,
the KSes went down too. I know Stacken and a few indivisuals had ITS
running on their machines, but maybe not on a very regular basis? Rumor
has it Stacken shut down in 1995.

KLH got his emulator up shortly after the demise of the MIT site, but it
wasn't availale to the public until the early 2000s. Paul Svenssion
moved his SV system from SIMH to KLH10, and made it available online.
It's been off the net for a few years, but it's back now.

UP has been a mainstay of ITS online precence since 2003, and still is.
