At a 1980s DECUS symposium in Atlanta, a guy did vocal sound
effects of popular DEC gear: an RK05 seeking, a TE16 tape drive
unloading, etc.   He got them dead-on and the audience was roaring
with laughter.

Does anyone else remember this?
