[Simh] Pre-packaged kits

What Bob says is absolutely true.

There are loads of distribution kits on bitsavers.org that will allow you to install various O/S on the sims from first principals.

It may involve a bit of browsing on that Internet thingy. There are a lot of good archived mailing lists/ blogs and websites where someone will have done it already. E.g: http://ancientbits.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/installing-rsx-11m-46-from-scratch-part.html

Getting a new operating system running is one of the most exciting things that you can do with your clothes on. 😊

Regards,

Sandy.

Please see the SimH web site
(http://simh.trailing-edge.com/software.html) for examples of kits to
run on SimH simulators. This works better for simple, stand-alone
applications that for full operating systems with layered products
installed, some of which (like VMS) require licenses and media from the
vendor.
