No, you definitely have a point. But yes, if people plan to write a 
separate application to access this device, then you worry about system 
caching of data does not apply.

But I still do not think that writing such a program for every platform 
(or even a noticeable number of them) is going to happen. Essentially I 
consider this whole thread to be a lot of hot air.
