Steve,

"Direct-access tape support": do you have any suggestions on a USB to SCSi adapter that I might try testing my TZ30 tape drive on my Mac Mini (Intel) under OS X 10.6.8? Not that I think I can get to it soon (some employment is needed...), but so I can look for hardware that might serve the purpose.

I think I have an old Adaptec PCI SCSI card for my PowerPC Mac, but I'm not sure that's of much interest.

I know the TZ30 works. I've been using it on a recently revived MV2000 (my partner calls it my Frankenstein project...) with SCSI driver code from W. J. Moeller that I have working under OpenVMS 7.3.
