I certainly agree.  And thanks for the info on the 8/I clock.  I didn't 
realize the pdp8 was 8/e & 8/a centric.
It seems to be very backward compatible with the 8/I, with the exception 
of the clock.

After fixing the clock I can run TSS/8 built for the 8/I with no EAE and 
it runs fine.

I could not have created my fpga versions of the pdp-8 and pdp-11 
without simh.  Many thanks.
