  Using stock SIMH at the moment.   This "host" system is a Linux/Gentoo box. 
If there's any configuration tips that'll make things run better/smoother, 
I'm certainly all ears. 

  I need to upgrade to the latest SIMH as we're running what was in portage
(3.7 - i believe).   So far so good.
