For many years I've been looking for the sources of the Concurrent
Pascal compiler, written for the PDP-11. In doing some more research
in this last night I found the following news item in
alt.folklore.computers
http://groups.google.com.au/group/alt.folklore.computers/
browse_thread/thread/abaaf5e6397aaa26
The first news item from Al Kossow reads:
Subject: Per Brinch Hansen's SOLO operating system unearthed
I'm happy to announce that I was able to recover a bootable copy
of the SOLO operating system distribution tonight. It is a modified
version to run on an 11/34 instead of an 11/45, and it seems to
work just fine under SIMH. I've also extracted all of the text files
into a separate zip from the RK05 disc image. It will be up for a
little while at www.spies.com/aek/solo
Hopefully, Bob will be able to add it to the SIMH software
distributions.
Did this get saved somewhere?
