[Simh] startup problems with PDP11 and DOSBATCH11

Hello everybody,
being a newbe at simh my question probably is very simple.
I run simh35 on Macosx downloaded as binary files. When trying to start 
DOS I follow the instructions given in the
DOS11 folder and fail to get things started.
I get the following:

PDP-11 simulator V3.5-2
sim> att rk0 dos_rk.dsk
sim> boo rk

HALT instruction, PC: 000002 (HALT)
sim> sh rk0
RK0, 1247KW, attached to dos_rk.dsk, write enabled

sim>

What did I miss or what did I omit?
