Gregg C Levine <hansolofalcon at worldnet.att.net> asks for an
identification of the O/Ses running on the SIMH VAX.

In my case at Utah, I have these two:

	NetBSD 3.0 (GENERIC) #0
	OpenBSD 3.5 GENERIC#0

They run on simhv36-0/BIN/vax which in turn runs on

GNU/Linux 2.6.9-34.0.1.ELsmp (Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 3))
Intel Pentium 4 (3050 MHz) (Hyperthreading)

Gregg also remarks that NetBSD installation is difficult.

While there were some glitches in the recipe at

		http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/vax/emulator-howto.html

I was nevertheless able to get NetBSD running on the VAX, and if there
is interest, I'll post my notes on a HOWTO at my Web site. It is
something I've been planning to do anyway to document my use of
virtual machines, but other projects keep pushing the writing of that
HOWTO aside.
