Please Read the OpenVMS FAQ (Google for it); almost every question that
you have asked about VMS in the last few weeks is in the FAQ. :-)

You must run Autogen to be able to access non-default or increased
memory.

Thanks!
Dave

Subject: [Simh] Memory seen by simulator?

I am running the latest Windows network enabled version of SIMH (under
NT). Currently, I have only 256Mb of NT memory (I will be adding more
shortly), but as a test I tried the following.....

I have in the vax.ini

load -r ka655x.bin
set cpu 128m

yet from OpenVMS I get

Physical Memory Usage (pages): Total Free In Use
Modified
   Main Memory (64.00Mb) 131072 61627
65278 4167

Anything obvious "pop out", or does the simulator "scale back" memory
automatically?
