What compiler/version.
Assuming GCC, you might try "-O0" to disable all optimizations.

It would help to understand the error messages.

Test 80 is "80  2004D7B2  CQBIC_memory" from typing "T 9E"

Does this error occur every time you start up, or does it occasionally
make it through the tests?

I am suspecting this is the timing problem that existed early on in
simh (ROM reads should be slower than RAM reads, iirc). Probably
related to your actual CPU speed. Not sure how this was
fixed for everyone else.
