[Simh] Potential design for 'real time' controls

Sounds like a Good Thing to me.

Is there a reason to avoid just adding the same simh> prompt when tty is
conencted to telnet?

Some commands would not be allowed as you discussed, but the interface
would be consistant. There would be a new "STOP" command perhaps to
replace "^E" but that's easily understood too.

Now I understand the code may not be structured such that this change is
easy, but it certianly sounds like the right long term goal.

If the version you are proposing without the "simh>" prompt is a step
towards that end, than by all means, having it sooner is a Good Thing.

I agree that a REWIND would be nice to have. Is there a way to display
the current file position? (ie: offset from start) "sh con" displays the
file name, but not the offset as far as I can see,

Also it would be nice to be able to break on device read/write imho. Is
there a way to do that? There likely is by knowing the port location(s)
that I've just not figured out yet. ;-)

Did you have any comments on the "step ; e a,b" type interface?

Keep up the good work.
